Opening of the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Simulation and Modeling
The kickoff event for the new Center will be October 24, starting at noon. The keynote speaker will be Professor Thom Dunning, University of Illinois and Director of NCSA.
Science 2008
Science 2008 will be held October 2 and 3. There is a session on Thursday, Oct. 2 at 2:00 with a modeling/simulation emphasis, with talks by Professors Zuckerman, Earl, and Balazs, followed by a plenary lecture at 4:00 by Professor Greg Voth. See Science 2008 for more details.
